About Jacob Odama

If we were to describe Jacob Odama as a "little known artist" we would be speaking quite literally. For even we cannot tell you a great deal about him or his background. He works, we understand, as a University Lecturer based in Uganda and paints in the little spare time he has.

What we do know is that we love his work and are delighted to publish it in an effort to bring his name and images to a much wider audience. His natural ability to capture the deep emotion in a child's eyes or the everyday endeavours of an African mother preparing food for her family, comes across in bold loose strokes that somehow magically convey the purest of details.

If you love African imagery you are sure to be tantalised by Jacob's work which we hope will soon find a place in your heart too.
