Technically there is nothing particularly advanced in these photos. I use extension tubes to get in close, and always use a tripod to get crisp results. I still shoot using slide film, but digital is rapidly approaching slide quality and I will probably switch over to digital within the next few years. I exhibit as much as I can. Recently my flower photos won a medal at the RHS London Flower Show. I hope you like the pictures, and get as much pleasure from them as I have. |

I
have been taking photographs for many years now, but it is
only in the last 3 - 4 years that I have concentrated on
flower photography. I love getting in close to the flower and
concentrating on simple colour and form. These are, after all,
what a flower uses to fulfil its function. Concentrating on
these two elements is a fascinating discipline - it forces you
look very closely at the object that you want to photograph,
and it makes you very critical about what you want to include
in the final image.|
